Livingston Christmas Event
The community of Livingston, MS had a Christmas event outdoors in the Square on Saturday. The weather was chilly and windy, but clear. My table was one of about twenty of all sorts of vendors. I sold one painting, of a magnolia. Parking was near and there was a moderate crowd. I will probably attend one of their events next fall. They like small paintings, so that is what I carried.

Hinds C.C. Raymond Show
This was our judged show for the Miss. Artists Guild. I had two paintings entered, Lake View-III, acrylic, and Fast Fiddlin'-II, ink and watercolor. The show lasted a month at the Marie Hull gallery on the campus of the community college in Raymond, Miss. Very good gallery, for showing art. We had a nice reception where they provided the food. Taking down the art, I managed to get some photos to include in our club Historian book. Hopefully someone else will take photos next time, because my camera is faulty. We all enjoyed the show and reception.

Big Black River Festival
This event is in West, MS. It is a small show along Hwy. 51. I have been there before, and as always, sell something. This year I sold a small framed landscape. It is difficult to sell when there are local artists in a show. The weather was good and the crowd was moderate; perhaps the nearby events the same day were a factor. I will probably return again next year.

Iron Horse Festival
This was on June 8, 2019 in McComb, MS. The weather was perfect, the crowd was about a thousand people. Mostly it was food and music, but there were about 50 booths. Some booths were local politicians, most were crafts booths, only a few contained paintings (me). I did sell one painting, of a robin. The crowd did not have much interest in any booths. Some of the younger visitors were interested in some of my more expressive paintings but they did not buy. I am glad that I sold something. The only problem with the event was the parking. Two blocks uphill at end of day to walk out with heavy loads. Otherwise I met a lot of nice, friendly, helpful people in that nice clean town.

Jackson Prep M.A.G. Show
This was our yearly judged show. It was held in the library of Jackson Prep on Lakeland Drive. I had two paintings entered, "View of the Top," oil, and "Daffodils in Vase," watercolor. It was a very good show with lots of variety in the paintings. There was a good-sized crowd, visitors and club members, and we had a nice reception. The show continues on to the end of February, so hopefully lots more people will view the art.
