M.A.G. Art Show Image Gallery Madison

This show was at the new location of Image Gallery in Madison, MS.  It is around the corner from the previous location, in a larger space.  It is in a building behind CVS on Hwy. 51 North.  There were over 70 paintings by Guild members.  A very delightful reception and congenial guests.  My painting is Still Life with Apples, Grapes.  The show lasts until October 25.  

Wellsfest Art Night

 Visited the Wellsfest Art Night in Jackson lately.  Also the Festival day later in the week.  Happy to have sold a painting, Mays Lake Autumn.  It was a watercolor framed.  The art night was in an old school that I happened to have attended first and second grades.  I have faint memories of those years.  The high roller auction was fun to watch, with all the fierce bidding.  My painting was in the Buy It Now area where paintings were hung outside.  Maybe I will try this again next year, maybe.  It was all lots of fun.  The festival day had lots of cool music, food, and crafts.   Good weather made both events enjoyable. 

Art on the Rez 2022

The crowd was moderate, due to the heavy rain.  I was glad to sell my watercolor Fishing the Pearl.  Many nice paintings shown both at the reception and following week, and online.  Happiest art day of the year, for me. 

M.A.G. Art Show Pacesetter Gallery

 The reception for the show was April 21, and I attended.  There was a large crowd of about 100 people, coming and going all evening.  It is not a large gallery but it is in a shopping center with lots of traffic.  I was glad to find a couch to partake of the snacks.  These days I have an ankle injury.  I viewed my two paintings among the others.  I did not agree with all the ribbons given, but all were pleasant entries.  Most of the paintings were landscapes.  Most were medium to small sizes.  Hopefully there will be visitors to the gallery who will admire the show again before it is over in May. 

Online Art Show

Street Musician, and American Music the Blues.  They are acrylic on canvas, unframed.  Really glad to be in the show. 

M.A.G. Art Show at Jackson Prep

 I visited Jackson Prep to view the art show.  My paintings:  Muskedine River, oil; Illustration Vax Site, acrylic on paper.  I did not get to the reception on Feb. 1, so I went on my own to view the show on the 14th.  Lovely paintings all.  It was not a judged event.  I was happy with the appearance of my paintings.

The show lasts until the 24th of February.  The Guild will have another show at another location, in April. 

Art Sold on My Website

Lately I sold one of my paintings directly from my website.  Magnolia Beautiful, acrylic on canvas.  Luckily it was to someone in a nearby town, so I hand-delivered it.  Happy day!
